West Fife Enterprise offer a 2 day course taking you through the health and safety qualification to application of your card.

Day 1: Delivery of the British Safety Council L1 Health and Safety in a Construction Environment Award and Test.
Day 2: Revision and Mock Tests in Preparation for the CSCS Test and sitting the test in the afternoon.
This course gives people who are already working, or seeking to work in the construction industry the essential knowledge to manage health and safety. Passing our Level 1 In a Construction Environment award will allow the learner to take their CSCS test and apply for the CITB Operatives Card.

Learners will gain the following critical knowledge:

  • Preparation for their CSCS card application and passing the CITB test
  • How to take personal responsibility for health and safety, and maintaining a safe and healthy working environment
  • How to make risk assessments, method statements and report accidents
  • How to manage risks involving work equipment, moving vehicles and mobile plant, fire, electricity, manual handling, noise, vibration, 
  • hazardous substances, alcohol and drugs
  • The importance of health and safety signs and personal protective equipment
Course Price includes the Level 1 Award, CITB Online Test and Operatives Card Fee.
